Week One Mainland Campers
This was an interesting week here at Covenant Point. In addition to having two different camps going on at the Mainland (Mainland 2-4 and Wilderness Week 4-6), many of the of the Mainland campers stayed for only two days, with 35 campers going home on Tuesday morning ,and 21 new campers coming Tuesday afternoon. It was a very fun week though. Despite low temperatures (no one can say how low, since there are no thermometers on camp property), the campers played outside and even went swimming. Campers loved the big games, such as: Go For the Gusto, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Capture the Flag, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Tina Norland was the speaker for the Mainland and Ruthie Wiggins was the speaker for wilderness week, with Tina teaching kids to "do the right thing" and Ruthie teaching that "God is great all the time." Overall it was a great first week of camp for the staff. Many campers told us how much they loved camp. We hope to see them all again next year!

Campers typically get very competetive during games of elimination on the volleyball pit.

Neil Armstrong and an alien named Beatrix were the leaders of the space games at Covenant Point this week. Events included "Capture Neil Armstrong's Golfballs" and a "Moon Race" to plant the US flag.

Kaarin's cabin sits together on a log by the cross in the morning. A good way to start the day.
